(Hoppin' Harry)
Hoppin' Harry is a brand new game as of January, 2001!
This game is reminiscent of the old arcade game "Frogger".
And I'm not very good at this game! I you have any tips
and hints you'd like to share, please
email me.
Object of the Game
The object of Hoppin' Harry is to hop the frog from one side
of the river to the other side by landing on the lily pads
that scroll by on the river from left to right. You need
to hop a total of four times to get to the other side of the river.
Tips for scoring high
Your score in this game is determined by a few factors:
- The value displayed on the first lily pad you jump on
- The multiplier values of the second and third lily pads you jump on
- Bonus points that you get if you make it to the other side of the river
- The total number of consecutive jumps you make
So, keeping these factors in mind, the following tips will help you
to get a high score:
- For your first jump, try to do two things:
- There are three different-valued lily pads; they start with
values of 300, 200, and 100; try to jump on a lily pad that has
a high score
- Make your first jump early. As time goes by in the
game, the initial scores on the first tier of lily pads decrease
very quickly; the faster you make your first jump, the higher your
initial score will be.
- For your 2nd and 3rd jumps, the faster-moving lily pads have
higher bonus multipliers, so try to time your jumps so you land on
faster-moving lily pads.
- Of course, do your best to hop onto the pot of gold on the
far shore!
- Since your total score is multiplied by your highest
consecutive number of successful jump, it is important to
not jump into the river or fall off the waterfall. There are
four rounds of four jumps each, so if you make every possible jump
successfully, your final score will be multiplied by 16.
